Blankfein is a perfect example of what is wrong with America. They are the beneficiaries of an economic system with its roots in genocide to acquire land and slavery to work it. The mechanisms have evolved somewhat, but they are still not the benefactors to the working class that they think they are. The “capital” that allows them the delusion of being capitalists is entirely a product of government and law. Without it, they would be grubbing in the dirt to eck out an existence like the rest of us.

The constitution clearly mandates Congress to create the currency “for the general welfare” and tax policy is the only thing that can create unemployment in the government’s currency, which means that we, including Blankfein, need the government’s currency. It doesn’t need ours. Only Congress abdicating its mandate to private banks allows him to amass the fortune he has.
