Economists have positioned themselves between the interest of the people and the people's government to influence policy to favor their real employers, the wealthy and their banks. They are prolific in academia, but their benefactors haven't changed and their purpose is to present theories that will keep the anger of the masses just below the point of outright revolution.

It's not hard to track major funding of college econ departments back to conservative think tanks, or directly to wealthy donors. Harvard has produced so many fascist types that went on to do great damage to our government, and the world, that it should be listed as a terrorist training organization.
