Equipped with one opening insight I have made an investigation and what my data or research suggest is an enormous intellectual conspiracy to condition us into believing something false.

People who study civilizations don't regard an "economy" as evidence of being civilized. They look for indications of bones that were healed without causing the death of the injured person. This indicates that a "society" existed that was concerned with, and benefited from, that person being a member.

A person who suffers a major broken bone must have considerable assistance if they are to survive long enough for the bone to heal. In nomadic societies that means transporting the individual when the group/tribe moved. They must be fed and sheltered while not able to contribute to their own immediate needs or those of the group.

Considering that we are very close to denying such reverence for the individual in society that is the bare minimum definition of what a society is, for the sake of "economics" should tell us that it is our economics we should question. This is especially evident when the society is more affluent than any time in human history and can "afford" anything that is available, including the best of care for sick or injured individuals.
