Fox is a free service for most internet and cable providers while any "liberal" sources are almost always an extra add-on requiring fees. The same goes for traditional print news services online. The media definitely has a bias and no major services are presenting any progressive views or concepts.

The extreme right wing of American politics has been extremely well coordinated since the Powell memo laid out a plan to win in public opinion. Their false economics is now taught in schools as gospel and their agenda is adopted by both major political parties.

I'm not optimistic that there is a way to defeat such a concerted effort with so many resources available to it. We may simply have to wait until things get so terrible for the working class that it rises into a full-blown revolution. So far, the victims are cheering for their oppressors.
