Give voters something to vote "for" instead of against a constant barrage of boogie men Republicans and they will come out for you. You'll have to do more than make pretty speeches and false promises though. They've heard all of those many times and the last they checked they were still screwed.

You might be different, but all of the promise makers that came before you are much more a "part of those reasons" than I could ever be with my lonely voice in the wind. Democratic and Republican Presidencies and majorities in Congress are now close to being evenly split, but the lot of the working class has deteriorated along an almost perfect straight line since the '70s thanks to neoliberal Dems with no more integrity than the worst Republicans. Perhaps less because no Republican makes the claims of being "for the people" as Democrats do, and makes no bones about a pro-business stance.
