I can only speak for myself, but I would support Biden over Trump if those were the only choices. However, that is very rarely true, and if someone who represents my values is running on a third party platform I would have no regrets for voting for them. I was just saying that the two party lock on our electoral system guarantees corruption and third or even fourth parties are the only way to break that lock. The bar for the Presidency should be a bit higher than “I’m not Trump”.

If that’s not possible the only alternative is to force the Democratic party to better reflect the values and needs of the people, which it will fight tooth and nail to prevent. We know that the Republican party is beyond any possible redemption and doesn’t even try to fake concern for the people any longer. If the majority of the electorate is that stupid then we collectively deserve Trump. The Achille’s heel of democracy is democracy. Who knew?
