I have several family members and friends that are still Trump supporters and believe he won the election. I have managed to have civil and informative discussions with them in the past, even though little was decided to change people's minds. However, Trump introduced a new level of disparity in viewpoints that has ended any such opportunity for meaningful discussion.

I simply don't know how those viewpoints can co-exist with reality, much less be adopted by otherwise intelligent and decent people. There is no room for that level of misinformation within society as I see it, and the only hope of maintaining any relationship with any of his followers is to simply avoid all political/economic discussion.
