I was part of the management team that opened your plant when it was Iowa Beef Processors. I also helped with much of the design of many parts of the plant when I was still working at their main facility. I have worked for other processing companies since leaving there and I can tell you that you are working for one of the better ones in the industry, as low as that bar is.

Safety in the entire industry is, and always has been, measured by the cost of doing things safely weighed against the cost of lawsuits resulting from injuries. It is never about the actual safety of the workers. Food processing, in general, exemplifies all of the worst of capitalism.
