Ditto. However, do you also agree that the payroll tax does nothing to enhance the government's ability to pay benefits? Your post would suggest that you believe the benefits are paid for via the tax and bonds, which they are not. Otherwise, the benefits would not be threatened by debt ceiling issues and wouldn't even be in the budget.
