In comparing wages between most Democratic Socialist countries, such as Denmark, and the US it must be noted that some large expense items for workers in the US are state funded there. It's hardly a stretch to assume that a US worker spends 25% of their income on healthcare, education, and retirement. That would equate to an additional $5 per hour in the wages of Danes.
