"It is thanks to Bernie that Medicare for All was brought to the forefront of the conversation concerning healthcare, and Americans have begun to question a system in which a profit-motivated company gets such significant influence on their care. "

I was mostly over Bernie after his endorsement of the second worst candidate in history in '16, and he pushed me the rest of the way in the last election.

He, better than any other politician, knows how federal financing works and yet keeps driving his "soak the rich" to pay for a program that would be deflationary and needs no funding. We would "save" billions per year and we already pay almost enough via existing programs to fund all of Medicare4All.

The only downside to universal healthcare funded with federal spending would be the million+ workers now serving the insurance industry that would be made involuntarily unemployed. Retraining and employing those workers would require some form of a job guarantee and free education. This chain of events would bring us into the 21st century along with every other developed nation, which isn't going to be allowed by the oligarchs that own our politicians outright, including the Judas goat Bernie.
