Just another “trust us” moment to persuade the gullible masses to defer using the authority our government has over business to make their lives better. The entire purpose of the GOP is to limit the ability of the government to regulate and tax business to the benefit of shareholders and top business management and the detriment of labor. All struggles come down to this one that has been with us since the first king declared himself ruler and subjected the people to subordinate status by force.

They see a revolution in the making with politicians like Trump (drain the swamp) and Sanders garnering votes from their promises to reign in the excesses of capitalism while their agents in government are regularly embarrassed by association with the worst offenders in the business community. Where business was once seen as the source of innovation and progress it is now viewed as the protector of the status quo of corruption.

The arch of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
