My father made bent willow furniture when I was a kid (ya, I’m older than dirt) so we always had a lot of available “willow tea” from the steam runoff of his projects. It found its way into many uses in the garden and orchard, but also as an effective remedy to the migraines I was prone to. My mother would brew a cup of coffee using the tea and make me drink it. It was quite a welcome relief in spite of being almost intolerably bitter. I have no practical source for willow tea now but still use aspirin and coffee as my goto headache remedy.
