My thought on crypto is that they are an interesting approach that may have applications to our policy in the future, but will never be a “currency” by themselves. That is not any failing of blockchain (which we should adopt immediately for voting) but simply that the government doesn’t accept them as payment for tax obligations, so we will never see them as a denomination for trade or contracts without conversion. They are a commodity, not a currency.
