No meaningful change has ever been won without at least the threat of violence. The status quo simply doesn't have the capacity to affect change that will disrupt itself. New paradigms must be forced on it because those who benefit from it will not give up their power except under force.

This is not new, or unique to any country or culture. America, touted as the bastion of freedom and democracy, has shown the least ability to abandon the rule of feudalism in the best interest of the people. The same psychopathic types that ruled in our feudal Monarchy system are in control now, and they have the same level of support from the ignorant masses that they always enjoyed, only now this is given the illusion of democracy.
