Our nuclear arsenal has been constantly updated since the RayGun era. I was involved in one of the projects that enabled that as a consulting engineer and I can only assume it has been an ongoing effort since as well. There is nothing left of any of the technology or weaponry from the Cuba crisis era. Those weapons would have become unstable long ago and would be all but useless in any modern war.
