Pelosi has been a dedicated neoliberal in the Clinton mold for her entire career. She has presided over a feckless opposition party while her donors destroyed most American institutions long before Trump was elected. Her desperation to preserve what authority she might salvage as real progressives such as Bernie and AOC gain prominence in American politics is becoming laughable. With enemies like her, Trump doesn’t need friends.
