Power cannot be returned to the people in the US unless more informed and dedicated leaders can be urged to undergo the torture of our political system and run for federal offices. Our politicians have chosen to make themselves a firewall against any real public opinion/demand for the wealthy.

Sadly, they are also the only ones that can legislate themselves out of that position and they, short of an armed rebellion, have no incentive to do so. It will likely get a lot worse before it gets better, if it ever does.
