"Right now, most politicians assume there are only two ways to pay for UBI:

Print money.

Tax the rich."

Sorry, but there is only one way to pay for anything at the federal level, create new money. We can, and should, tax the rich, but doing so will not "fund" anything. It will only subtract the amount of tax collections from the private sector and make the rich a bit less rich. US dollars are created when Congress spends them into existence and are destroyed when it collects them as taxes. Tax revenue is an oxymoron at the federal level, meant to distract actual morons.

Once we figure out that we don't need the rich, or their money, to properly fund the public purpose we can got past the nonsense about "job creators" and take away their power over us and our government. This is why the wealthy have invested in propaganda (much of it called education) to the extent they have.
