Tax the Rich & Give to the Teachers

As long as we keep it in that context I’m good with it. Tax the rich AND give to the teachers works. Taxing the rich to gain the ability to give to the teachers, not so much. Taxation at the federal level can do many things. It can prevent inflation, drive acceptance of the currency, mitigate income inequality, reduce the debt come to mind immediately. However, the one thing it can’t do is “fund” federal spending.
