Thanks for a bit of fresh air and reason. I am so damn tired of being told that I am a Republican if I don't vote for - - - with a D by their name. When it is our own betraying us it is harder to deal with, but that doesn't mean we have to just grin and bear it for fear of the horrible Republicans.

If Democrats would abandon the neoliberal market worship they fell into in the '80s they could accomplish FDR level things for our country and would not have to worry about defeating Republicans at the ballot box. I've come to the conclusion that they are so well compensated by their corporate donors that they don't care if they are re-elected or not. Not many people can take a job paying little more than a mid-level retail manager makes and parlay it into millions over a few short years while paying for expenses in DC as well as at home.
