The Democrats have played controlled opposition in America’s decline for decades and will need to step up and reclaim the party’s roots in FDR’s New Deal before any effective headway can be made against the fascist GOP. If the people are offered a choice that benefits them directly and not via some convoluted market mechanism that has proven miserably failed already they will come out in droves to support it.

The people are ready for a government that actually does things for them, and represents them, which they haven’t had since the ’70s when the DNC decided to take the neoliberal path just because it could. That many decades of decisions made to benefit corporations and the wealthy at the expense of the vast majority of the people should have ignited a full out revolt, and probably would have in any country with smarter voters.

Such a revolt will not look anything like those in the past. For one, the dolts declaring fealty to Trump and the GOP criminals have all of the guns. That matters little though considering the damage potential of computer code or well-placed disruptions in the power/communications grids. No system is so secure that it cannot be broken by the person who wrote it. The American empire sits atop an imaginary hill of heaped up illusion that can be wiped away with a few well-defined keystrokes. The revolution will not be televised because your television will not work.
