"The lion’s share of wealth in this country continues to end up in the deep pockets of a smaller and smaller few, who don’t have to pay much in taxes to support ADC anymore."

You won't actually contribute to solving our lopsided and cruel economic issues until you understand how this statement enables them.

Until the average American gets a grasp on the fundamentals of economics (beyond their own kitchen table budgeting of their wages) the false concept of "tax revenue" funding benefits will make it impossible to ever evolve into a civilized society. Raygun was certainly guilty of promoting the falsehoods that now dominate our political and economic culture, but no Democrat has stepped up to tell us the truth either, choosing the donor class over the working class Americans they deceive as quickly as do Republicans.

Even the self proclaimed socialist, Sen Bernie Sanders, in spite of having at his beck and call one of the brightest economists of our era, refused to risk his political position by going against the grain to tell the people how their economy is actually funded. His service to the oligarchy should be noted before anyone buys into the "socialist" label.

As the monopoly issuer of its own sovereign fiat currency, Congress can afford anything that is available for sale and denominated in the currency it creates at will. It is not revenue constrained, nor does it even use the revenue it receives in its spending, creating new dollars for every appropriation. The concept of debt as an encumbrance upon future productivity is entirely false, but it is so easily adopted by the econ illiterate that it has become the dominant political tool of both parties in their quest for deep pocket donors.
