The means to eradicate poverty are available to us anytime. It is a political decision, not economics. No one's taxes need to be raised to "pay for" it and there is nothing inflationary about assuring the poor are able to actually lift themselves up. Cheap subservient labor and the wealth gap are the purposes and our federal government is complicit down to the last criminal.
