The next time someone talks about the "founding fathers" of our nation laugh in their face and remind them that the great majority of signers of the Declaration of Independence were under 50 and the youngest was 26 at the time. While technically old enough to be a father, it hardly lives up to the connotation the phrase conjurs.

Very few new ideas are presented by my generation anymore. I've done my best to keep up with the changing times, but that is difficult now that I'm in my 70's and most don't even try unless they need new knowledge in their work. We gave you the internet and self-driving autos for gawd's sake. What more do you want? Stop relying on us. Get off my lawn and leave us alone.
