The powers that be in America (or "Murika") decided long ago that the vast majority of us only needed to be smart enough to push the buttons and pull the levers at our jobs. Making us any smarter would only lead to discontent as we figured out how things actually worked, so we were happy until they exported all the buttons and levers to other countries. This left an awful lot of us with nothing to do but watch the NFL and wrestling in our double wides while drooling all over our camos.
