The right claims it opposes "all" efforts toward controlling firearms. However, it fully supports the effort when it involves members of the black community. Those efforts aren't direct, but just as effective nonetheless.

One of the results of illogically criminalizing drug use is the creation of felons among black males via selective enforcement and making them unable to legally obtain weapons. Even Sir Ronnie advocated for gun regulation after the Black Panthers began arming themselves to defend their communities in California while he was Governor.

Bill Clinton's thinly veiled efforts in his crime bill had a similar effect on the ability of blacks to effectively defend themselves and the results of that may still blow up in our faces as black advocacy groups give up peaceful means of obtaining their goals in the face of white supremacy. Any second amendment advocate that states owning a weapon is a "right" must explain why that right isn't universal, or why such ownership isn't funded by the government when one can't afford to purchase very expensive weapons to exercise that right.
