There is far more "unity" between the parties than they want to admit. Democrats are not comfortable with the majority position and can't wait to take their usual "here, take my lunch money" stance with Republicans after their inevitable loss of a thin majority in 2022 and likely the Presidency in 2024.
Democrats are comparing the new stimulus package to the bail out under Obama, trying to hide the fact that it is much smaller in actual benefits to the people than the last package delivered under a Republican Presidency and majority in Congress. When Democrats advocate for smaller (by half) unemployment benefits than Republicans because too much might prevent the "little people" risking their lives to "service" the economy any claim they might have once had to "party of the worker" is moot and a con.
If anyone wants to know what to actually expect from Biden (separate from the spin masters' efforts to remake him in the image of FDR) they should look to the broken promises of the Clinton and Obama administrations. It won't be long before we begin hearing how we must cut entitlements and the safety net from him and the phony national debt scare tactic will rear its ugly head in Democratic political rhetoric.
