Those dems you hold in such high regard do everything possible to "prevent" progressive legislation that might give actual power to the people. Progressives often vote for dems simply because they are a lesser evil, especially since Trumpists became a political force. However, dem leadership doesn't give more than lip service to progressive causes and are true believers in neoliberal market econ.
