To those who are not cognizant of how public fiscal policy impacts our private lives and our economy, Bernie or Bust may appear to be some idol-worshipping fad that only splits the opposition vote. It is, actually, all about policy and the economics of FDR following the previous gilded age when the oligarchs were allowed to run with scissors and destroy the economy for their own personal gains. Bernie simply represents the only candidate in the race that appears even remotely aware of our serious and fragile economic stress, and has been for several decades.

At this point, Bernie is the only one forwarding any policy that stands a chance of working to salvage America’s middle class, much less attacking the very real threat of climate change with any serious plan. Every politician since Reagan has preached the failed rhetoric of austerity and market capitalism as the holy grail of economics. That has and will continue to fail horribly with very real human consequences, but the average voter is simply not econ savvy enough to understand the proper role of a currency-issuing government in modern society. Bernie faces as much opposition from false economic perception as he does from political forces, but he also offers the only hope of our long term survival.

What the DNC and the VBNMW crowd fail to recognize is that Trump beat Hillary from her left. Ya, he lied his ass off, but that doesn’t change the dynamics of the election. Trump was the populace candidate offering relief from the oppressive oligarchy’s boot on the neck of the middle class while Hillary promised more failed status quo, do nothing, policy and identity politics. Trump has now shown his true allegiances and can not regain that populace status. This may embolden the DNC to think just any placeholder Dem can win, but the populace energy of the voters is still quite present. Only Bernie stands a chance of robbing Trump of that energy with a “real” change message.
