What part of digital do you believe is lacking in the US dollar? It is a fiat currency with a floating exchange rate that the Fed creates (on orders from Congress and Treasury) by marking up accounts in the private sector with keystrokes. This was well described by Ben Bernanke here in relation to the bailout. Do you actually believe that paper and coin currency is being moved around between banks and countries to represent the trillions in international trade and our domestic economy?
