When the general voting population begins to see the error in the concept that we "can't afford" to correct the ills of our society the politicians will suddenly see the light and begin to do something about the horrible economy we now suffer from. Even Trump stated "we make the money, so we can never become insolvent". That makes him wiser than all but a few Democrats now in Congress or the White House and more honest than any Republican concerning the economy/budget.
