With that many new house representatives it would be very difficult to gerrymander their districts and the larger population concentrations in the cities would all but guarantee a radical move left for our government.

I have often advocated for an easier path to statehood for the metropolitan areas, which would accomplish similar results in the house, but would also give the new city-states representation in the Senate while drawing down the house representation of the more conservative rural areas surrounding them.
