Your historical references all include one common factor, war/revolution. However, you almost totally ignore that and jump to debt as the primary cause of collapsed economies.

I'm pretty sure that if Russia should initiate nuclear war it might adversely impact our economy, but it is considerably more likely that the large number of voters who have no clue what the debt even is, much less how much is too much or too little, will destroy our economy long before Russia does.
